Ureteroureteral Fistula as a Rare Complication of Ileal Conduit Urinary Diversion: a Case Report

Abstract Long-term studies on ileal conduit have shown a complication rate of up to 66%. Fistulas are rare late conduit. To our knowledge, no data about ureteroureteral fistulas has been published yet. We present the case 73-year-old man with non-muscle invasive high-grade urothelial carcinoma bladder who failed BCG due intolerance and developed cripple bladder. He underwent cystoprostatectomy, pelvic lymphadenectomy, an urinary diversion. Four months after surgery, raised creatinine level was discovered. Sonography revealed bilateral hydro-ureteronephrosis. Shortly after, stomal production became minimal, nephrostomy introduced right kidney. As result, right- as well left-sided hydronephrosis diminished, assessed by ultrasound. Through loopogram anterograde pyelography, stenosis at ureteroileal anastomosis connection between two ureters proven. endoscopic intervention resolve obstruction failed, re-laparotomy make neo-anastomosis from performed. suspect that total obliteration oral end caused fistula formation ureters. would like address this phenomenon be mentioned in differential diagnosis if outcome urine is question. It not simple distal portion demands adapted surgical reconstructing technique well.
